The Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy program called for a 5,000 square foot therapy room, five private treatment rooms, a therapy pool complete with wheelchair ramp and bariatric lift into the water, associated locker/shower facilities, and 4 station Occupational Therapy room each serving 3-4 patients simultaneously.

The MRI suite required a secondary waiting room, dressing room, MRI lab and control room. Since the MRI room was required to be an internal windowless space adjacent to the indoor parking garage, effective natural light was not possible. Our design solution was to create a feature of “butterfly windows.” Three box forms replicate windows that are filled with over 400 rainforest butterflies. The total square footage was 13,000.
