Project Info

This existing diagnostic oncology suite was renovated to accept new linear accelerator technology. The design process was not only a technological and logistical challenge, but in concert with the users, a re-invention of the image of patient friendly cancer treatment. The solution was to create “a room with a view”. The treatment room was designed as if you were looking out a hotel villa onto a scene from a tropical island. It was important that the oncology care being provided treat the mental and emotional well-being of the patient as well as the physical ailment.
